the story behind pockt

built with care.

a problem everyone has. an app that fixes it.

why i built it

hi, i'm Fran — a solo developer, and the person behind pockt.

i always struggled to see where my money was actually going each month — budgeting was hard, and just checking my total balance was a mess since it's spread across a few different bank accounts. i tried spreadsheets, tried getting AI to summarize my statements, but something always slipped through. and honestly, i'd just forget to log things half the time.

most trackers felt like a chore: create an account, set up categories, type everything in by hand. i wanted something simple — log it, glance at the month, know exactly where the money went. even better if it could just happen automatically. that's pockt.

the goal

spend smarter. save more. stress less.

knowing your limits is how you actually save. my goal with pockt is clarity, not complexity — so i built it to be completely private and anonymous from day one. your finances, off the record. everything you add saves locally on your device and syncs only to your own private iCloud. pockt will never ask for a name, an email, or a bank login.

solo indie developer

built with care.
privacy and security first, always.

that's why there's no account to create — your data is yours, full stop. if you have feedback, i'd love to hear it — every message gets read. once pockt is live, a review on the App Store makes a real difference for a solo developer.
