Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 29 July 2026
Welcome to pockt! These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the pockt mobile app and this website (together, the "Service"), operated by the developer of pockt ("we," "our," or "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
pockt is provided for your personal, lawful use. You agree not to misuse the Service, interfere with its normal operation, or attempt to access it in ways other than the interface we provide.
pockt does not require an account. Because your data lives on your device and your private iCloud, keeping your device and Apple ID secure is your responsibility. We can't recover data we never hold.
The transactions and information you enter are yours. We don't claim ownership of your content and we don't access it. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you record.
pockt is a tracking and budgeting tool, not financial, accounting, or tax advice. Figures shown are based on the data you provide and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice or your official statements.
pockt is free to download and use, with no subscription and no ads. If that ever changes, we'll update this section and the app itself, clearly, before any purchase is required.
pockt uses Apple iCloud to sync your data across your own devices. iCloud is not required to use the app — all core features work without it. However, without iCloud enabled, your data will not be preserved if you uninstall the app.
We do not store or access your personal data. All data is stored privately on your device and, when iCloud is enabled, in your personal iCloud account.
pockt lets you upload a bank statement (CSV, Excel, PDF, or a photo) so transactions can be extracted and categorized automatically. When you upload a file, it is sent through our backend to a third-party AI provider for processing, and the extracted transactions are returned to the app. We do not read, open, inspect, or retain the contents of the file, and it is not stored on our servers.
Remove sensitive information before uploading. While our backend does not read or retain any file you submit, the file is passed to a third-party AI provider to extract the data. It is never a good idea to share sensitive personal information with any AI service. Before uploading a statement, we strongly recommend removing or redacting anything that isn't a transaction, including your full name, address, phone number, account numbers, card numbers, balances, and any other identifying information. Ideally, only the transaction lines themselves (date, description, amount) should remain.
Responsibility for what you upload. By using the statement upload feature, you acknowledge that you are responsible for the content of anything you submit. pockt, its developer, and its providers do not accept responsibility or liability for any personal, financial, or sensitive information you choose to include in an uploaded file.
The pockt name, logo, app, and website design are owned by us and protected by law. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without permission.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that automatic categorization will always be correct. Categorization is powered by AI and, like all AI, it can make mistakes — always review your transactions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll revise the date above, and continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
The following terms apply because pockt is distributed through Apple's App Store. You acknowledge and agree that:
